Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Sidedoor: what we do, what you promise, and how either side ends it.
LAST UPDATED 12 SEPTEMBER 2026
The agreement
By creating a Sidedoor account you accept these terms. If you are using Sidedoor on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that company.
What the service does
Sidedoor reads your resume, finds roles that match your search, writes a tailored application for each one, and sends it — on the company's portal and by email to people at the company. You set the targets; we do the sending, within the daily allowance of your plan.
We do not promise interviews, replies or offers. Hiring decisions belong to employers, and nothing here is a guarantee of one.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older and legally able to enter a contract.
- One person per account. Accounts are not to be shared or resold.
- Everything you give us — resume, work history, salary, visa status — must be true. Sidedoor sends it in your name, and it is your name on it.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account.
What you may not do
- Apply as someone else, or with a resume that is not yours.
- Use Sidedoor to send anything other than genuine job applications and job-search outreach — see the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, resell or rebuild the service, or run it through an automated client we did not provide.
- Attack the service, probe it without authorisation, or work around rate limits and plan caps.
Payment
Plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Setup is free; billing begins when you tell us to start applying. Prices can change with 30 days' notice, which will never apply to a month you have already paid for.
Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
Cancelling
Cancel any day, from your dashboard. Sending stops at the end of the paid period and your data stays available until you delete the account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, and we will tell you why.
Your content and ours
Your resume and your applications stay yours. You grant us the licence needed to run the service: to store your documents, rewrite them per role, and send them to employers on your instruction. The software, the matching engine and everything in the product stays ours.
Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost job opportunities, lost income, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at what you paid us in that period.
Changes and governing law
We will give notice by email before these terms change materially. Continuing to use Sidedoor after that means you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of Bengaluru.
